In 1854, Edward Weissenborn moved from Germany to the United States to establish his own pencil factory. In 1864 The American Pencil Company was born. Edwards son Oscar, followed in his fathers footsteps and founded his own pencil company The Pencil Exchange in 1889. It took 30 years for Oscar to build his business and in 1923 his operation became General Pencil Company.
General's Badger Graphite Pencil is a traditional pencil that is hex shaped with a yellow finish and pink eraser.
