Needing a splash of colour?

by Amanda Fleet

It is getting lighter in the evenings. With an eye of faith, I can see it. But about this time of year, I need a real splash of colour with my notebooks. Whereas black, or grey, or navy are just fine and dandy most of the rest of the year, now it's cold and snowy and predominantly dark I need some zing and some zest.

So, with no further ado, let me share some of the brightest and cheeriest of notebooks on offer at Nero's.

Let's start small and work our way up...

Rhodia Mini Notebooks:

These are small - 7 cm x 10.5 - and come in pairs of complementary colours, including a bright red and orange pair. Perfect for jottings on the go.

Available here.

In the pocket-notebook size (3.5" x 5.5" or thereabouts) there are a few more.

Field Notes Expedition:

This set of three books includes a 'hi-vis' orange cover. And if you're needing something robust for out and about in winter conditions, the paper is waterproof and tear-proof.

Back Pocket - CMYK Colour Edition Notebooks:

In a set of four - cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (okay, not quite so bright) - this makes a good splash of colour!

Available here.

Write Notepads & Co - Candy Corn:

Lovely autumnal colours and a cat on the covers, what's not to like? The set of three has a pumpkin orange, a corn yellow, and a white notebook in the set.

Endless Storyboard - The Farm:

More colourful than solidly bright, these still cheer on a dull day. A set of two notebooks, featuring farm scenes.
