Notebooks for Weight Loss II

Posted by Stuart Lennon on

At the end of June, I wrote a post about how notebooks were helping me lose weight. You can read it here. I have never found losing a bit of weight too difficult. Eat less for a bit and inevitably, some weight goes. The challenge is keeping the weight off. That's always much harder. Only fair then, that I update you. Yes, this is a 'humble brag'. I have lost some weight, and I feel good about that. However, I'm still too heavy and have plenty of work to do. No room for smug here.😁 I have lost 20kg. That's...

Holiday Trading

Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We send our hearty best wishes across the Atlantic to our friends there. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! 🍾 I have been asked what discounts we will be offering for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Don't be silly. We're British. We will continue to focus on sourcing a wide range of items, centred on Pocket Notebooks and selling them at a fair price, in the most customer-focused way that we can. Where we have been able to cut prices, these items will turn up in the 'Stocking-Filler' section of the site, but there will...

My Every Day Carry and other notebooks. Back in July, I wrote a post on how I was using my notebooks. As I wrote then, my use pattern is fluid, and ever on the change. Time then, for an update. Every Day Carry Most of the time, I walk to work. Nero is, as you might imagine, a big fan of this regime. The commute is ninety minutes or so. I tend to listen to podcasts, The Pen Addict and the Erasable Podcast being perennial favourites. In my backpocket for this walk is the notebook at the centre of my...

Keeping a Journal on the Camino de Santiago

Posted by Stuart Lennon on

Regulars will know that I am completing the Camino de Santiago; in stages. Each year, I walk six days, and the following year, I restart from where I finished. This year was year two. Full disclosure, although it is a pilgrimage, neither of my friends nor I would claim that we are solely motivated by religion. We all have some faith, but not in a traditional way.  On the left is the belligerent Basque - the Duck. (Don't ask!) to the right is Chickpea Stu. The walk was born to commemorate a friend who passed away. I walk partly for...

November already...

Posted by Stuart Lennon on

Blimey. I turn around and two months have passed. I’m sorry.  It has been a busy couple of months. I will write some posts on the various things that we have been up to at PocketNotebook Towers, but in brief... September was mostly time off for Stuart. A week walking the Camino de Santiago and then most of the rest of the month, he was in Cyprus, enjoying the sun and sea at the beach. Poor Clare was left doing everything. Naturally, the quality of service increased, without Stuart’s interference.🤔 October, Nero returned from his late summer camp with a...
