Quarter Three Update

Posted by Tony Short on

Well then, what’s this? Our quarterly update six weeks later than originally planned. I guess that theme is something in-common with how the past four months have been for us at Pocket Notebooks. This update is taking a slightly different approach to previous ones, whereby we really want to open up to some of the biggest challenges we’re now facing since establishing Pocket Notebooks in 2015. Hobonichi Experience Let’s get the hard one out the way to start with. Yes, it’s been three months since we learnt we could no longer supply the Hobonichi Techo, but we still aren’t over...

Getting to Know Scribble Monboddo

Posted by Tony Short on

There aren't many people from the online world that we get to meet in real-life, but fortunately that isn't true with our next guest, Scribble Monboddo. I met Scribble at this years National Stationery Show where we chatted everything from fountain pens to Tomoe River Paper. Got writing envy? We completely agree and highly recommend you check out more of Scribble over at United Inkdom.

Getting To Know Azizah Asgarali

Posted by Tony Short on

If this next person isn't on your radar, either as a blogger or somebody to follow on social media, I guarantee she will be once you finish reading this Q&A. Azizah runs the Gourmet Pens website, a site I know only too well having spent an unhealthy amount of time reading her reviews - and don't even get met started on the number of hours I've spent watching her short, yet mesmerising, videos of her writing and script samples.  1) Describe yourself in three objects Cat, glow-in-the-dark sticker, terrarium with a tiny pond. 2) Wood or Mechanical Pencil? Wood! Although mechanical pencils are really cool,...

Thoughts From Thorsten About Story Supply and Writepads

Posted by Dan Smith on

This week, we’d like to introduce you to Thorsten.  A fan and supporter of Pocket Notebooks, he has a fantastic blog over here, and today has put his thoughts down on two of his recent purchases. Notebooks are made to be used. As a collector and heavy user of paper notebooks, I was pleased to be asked for my thoughts of two new brands in town. Loving Field Notes as my main notebooks, I am surprised by two other brands and use them a lot now: Write Notepads & Co. and Story Supply Co. Both are paper notebooks for your...
